Lucky Beaver Plus Professional Infield Mix Tips:
1. Though your choice on which infield soil and amendments to use are important, a proper gradation on your infield should be your first priority.
2. Without proper moisture management, it will not matter what type of soil and amendments you use to prepare your infield. For example, on a clay based infield too little water means you are playing on a rock hard surface and too much water means you are playing in a bog. Your goal, regardless of soil type, should be too strike a balance between the two.
Recommended Application when renovating an infield:
Lucky Beaver Plus Professional Infield Mix should be put down to a depth of 3” – 6” on a standard infield renovation. Once laid evenly, we suggest watering your infield with ½ inch of water, rolling it with a 1000 pound roller to achieve proper compaction, and then laser grading it out at 1/2%.
