Front Panel Flat Embroidery

This is the classic style of embroidery. Flat embroidery is 2D embroidery where the logo or design is stitched directly onto the surface with thread. Flat embroidery is “flat” and there is no depth to it. This is the standard when ordering embroidery. Best for bold designs with a medium level of detail.

*Max Size: Varies by cap style, but 2 1/8”H X 4 ½”W is the standard max size for cap front position

3D Embroidery

The classic style of embroidery with a little something extra! 3D embroidery, sometimes referred to as “puff embroidery”, uses a foam backing material behind the thread to “puff” the logo or design and make it three dimensional. It’s the #1 for on field play, along with rope and embroidery on faux leather and woven label! Best for bold designs with a medium level of detail. Not all designs can be produced in 3D.

*Max Size: Varies by cap style, but 2 1/8”H X 4 ½”W is the standard max size for cap front position

Side and Back Panel Embroidery

Flat embroidery is 2D embroidery where the logo or design is stitched directly onto the surface with thread. Flat embroidery is “flat” and there is no depth to it, like with 3D embroidery. This is the standard when ordering embroidery. Best for bold designs with a medium level of detail.

*Max Size: Varies by cap style, but 1 ½”H X 1 ½”W is the standard max size for side and back positions

Across Back Seam Embroidery

This is the classic style of embroidery – flat embroidery – except on back of the hat, as opposed to the front. Flat embroidery is 2D embroidery where the logo or design is stitched directly onto the surface with thread. Flat embroidery is “flat” and there is no depth to it, like with 3D embroidery. This is the standard when ordering embroidery. The difference between this and a back panel flat embroidery is that it is done along the back seam of the hat, adding an extra layer of difficulty. Best for bold designs with a medium level of detail.

*Max Size: Varies by cap style, but 1 ½”H X 1 ½”W is the standard max size for side and back positions
