Scott has been a USPTR teaching professional for over 16 years. He was the manager at Four Seasons Tennis and Health Club in Sherman, Texas before coming to Wisconsin in 1998 and eventually becoming Director of Tennis at Club West in Neenah. He was most recently the Junior Director at Western Racquet and Fitness Club in Green Bay.

Scott has played collegiately at Navarro Junior College where he was national champion in singles and second in the nation in doubles and then transferred to Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant Oklahoma. There, he majored in Marketing and got his Masters in Business Administration. He currently is playing 5.0 USTA league tennis where his team won state in 2011.

Scott is married to Kari who is also a tennis player and has two boys named Aiden and Colin. They currently live in Appleton.

Patti ContactPatti played tennis, basketball, & softball at Oshkosh West High School. She continued her tennis career in college and played all four years at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. There she graduated with her Bachelor's degree in Health/Physical Education. She currently plays in a 4.5 USTA women's league.

Patti started teaching tennis in high school when she taught for the Oshkosh Recreation Department. She went on to coach the girls & boys tennis teams at Lourdes High School in Oshkosh. She continues to teach tennis at the Nike Tennis Camp at Wayland Academy in Beaver Dam with John & Jason Powless.

Patti is married to Mark, and they have two boys, Jacob & Matthew, who also actively play tennis. They live in Oshkosh.

Patti is also Valley Athletics Tot's Turf Director.


Scott Niemi 1-30-18Scott played tennis at Appleton East High School before playing four years at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. There, he graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Radio TV and minored in Journalism History. His teaching career started as an assistant coach for Oshkosh Lourdes high school. He helped teach at Club West and ran the Greenville park and rec tennis program. Scott currently plays in 4.5 and 5.0 USTA Leagues.

Carol Steinert


Carol grew up in Oshkosh and has played tennis throughout her life.  She started teaching tennis for the Oshkosh Recreational Department during high school.  She played tennis for Oshkosh West High School and continued playing 4 more years at UW-Oshkosh.  She currently holds a 4.5 USTA rating, plays on leagues, and on several women's and mixed doubles USTA teams in the valley.

Carol earned her Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education from UW-Oshkosh, majoring in math and science.  She went on to earn a Master's degree in Educational Administration at UW-Madison.  She taught for 4 years at Plymouth High School then came to Neenah, where she taught at the high school and middle school for the next 27 years.  Throughout her career, Carol coached girls' and boys' high school tennis teams in Plymouth, girls' tennis teams in Neenah and Oshkosh, and also assisted in coaching various USTA Junior Team Tennis teams out of Oshkosh.

In addition to tennis, Carol enjoys playing golf, hiking, biking, and most anything active in nature.  She is married to Bill and they have 3 children, Steven, Nathan, and Kimberly.

Carol and Bill live in Oshkosh and enjoy spending time with family and friends both on the off the courts.

Valley Athletics - Adam Martin Tennis Professional

Adam Martin played tennis at La Follette high school before playing for UW Oshkosh during college, where he got a degree in Radio-TV-Film with a minor in Journalism. Adam has taught tennis at several different recreational facilities and clubs starting in 2011, and hasnt stopped since. He also assisted in creating the UW Oshkosh Club Tennis team after the collegiate team was cut back in 2016. Adam currently plays in 4.5 and 5.0 USTA leagues.

Dennis Niemi 4-12-13 1


Valley Athletics is fortunate to have added Dennis Niemi to our Tennis Staff.  Dennis comes to us with over 26 years of teaching experience, having coached for Lawrence University and Appleton North High School.  He played tennis for Cowley County Community College in Arkansas City, Kansas.

Dennis has a wife, Marianne, a daughter, Sara, and two sons, Scott and Joe who also play tennis.  They currently live in Appleton.


Bob Brost


Valley Bob has over 25 years of experience coaching basketball, soccer and tennis.  He played tennis at Menasha High School.

Bob is married to his wife Kathy.  They have a daugher named Allyse and a son named Trevor.  Bob and his wife live in Neenah.
